Wii died after system update

Hello, I've just installed a Wiikey chip into my PAL Wii. I accidentally let the Wii perform a system update on an NTSC disc, and now I've lost control over my Wii, the Wiimotes don't work anymore, etc. Is there any fix for this?

I'm not aware of any update that will stop wiimote functions. did you synch them up with the wii again?

The game I put in was Big Brain Academy Wii Degree (NTSC into a PAL system). I was stupid enough to push OK when it asked for a system update because I have no internet so I thought it would not do anything and that I could play. But it did perform the update, and after restarting, one more News Channel and one more Forecast Channel appeared in the Wii Menu, and then I could still use the remote but pointing to the game and starting it resulted in a black screen. After restarting, I could not use the Wiimotes anymore, and I could not sync them up, however long I pressed the red buttons on the mote and on the machine.

btw: Big Brain Academy doesn´t work on PAL ! (you should´ve use wii-brick-blocker !)

Non the less, until no solution of unbricking is found, your wii makes a nice paper weight !

So there is no solution to it now, right?

EDIT: Thankfully, after a few tries I was able to resync the wiimotes. Now everything runs except for NTSC and Gamecube. I'm to scared to run any updates after this, though.

Did you try a reset in the Wii options?

Maybe that works...
