HELP: I think I may have bricked my Wii

Hello,
After buying a Wii I figured it would be a good investment to use a Wiikey and installed it myself. Everything was working fine, all burned DVDs reading correctly and all. After playing many games on it with no problem at all I wanted to play Super Mario Galaxy so I downloaded the BETA HOTFIX v1.9g on the wiikey website, and now it appears as if my Wii is completely bricked. It doesn't start up at all. Simply nothing appears on the screen.

tl:dr Installed Wiikey correctly, tried to play galaxy, installed BETA HOTFIX v1.9g, bricked wii.

Is there any chance that I can fix this? What should I do?

installing new mod code can't brick the system, in the very worst case it would disable the mod itself, but that's it. it's either a coincidence or a wire came off.
