Pre modded Wii with wiikey wont load any games

Hi Guys,
I have just taken delivery of a premodded Wii and have encountered a problem where the console wont accept any games... as you go to put the game in it makes a noise as if to pull the game in, but it doesn't go in. I am trying with the wii sports game that came with it. all the console says is to insert game....Any ideas?
